Rules.Price change: same UTC window on both chains - the daily row is a rolling last-24-hours from DexScreener, refreshed live; weekly, monthly and yearly rows use CoinGecko public marks between the dates shown. Holder growth and burned-in-period need dated on-chain snapshots on both chains. None of the public sources we checked (Blockscout, CoinGecko, DexScreener) publish a dated holder-count or burn-balance history, so those metrics show as unavailable until the next dated snapshot - the dated November 6, 2026 baseline (holders and burn balances, both chains) is persisted at data/snapshot.json on this site. Burned means the change in the observed burn-address balance over the period - not a certified total of all burns. A round leader is called on price only when both chains have data for the same window.

SHIB on Ethereum launched in 2020 under the pseudonym Ryoshi as a decentralized community experiment. It grew into one of the best-known tokens on Ethereum - where every on-chain swap pays Ethereum mainnet gas fees. Schismatic Shiba is a separate community token of the same name on Base, an Ethereum Layer 2.
Schismatic Shiba is the split. Same name, same dog, separate contract and supply on Base - an Ethereum Layer 2 that posts its transactions to Ethereum. We read the contract line by line: no tax on trades, and an auto-burn that sends 0.01% of the pool's token balance to the burn address on sells, at most once every 12 seconds. Not a copy. An evolution.

Methodology. Snapshot of the top 3,377 non-contract, non-burn SHIB-on-Base holder addresses by balance (Base Blockscout holder list), each checked for any SHIB-on-ETH balance at the same address by direct balanceOf reads of the ETH SHIB contract (around mainnet block 26,353,852), November 6, 2026 UTC. Result: 147 of 3,377 (4.4%) held SHIB on ETH at the same address. An address appearing on both chains is only an address - it is not proof of the same person. Limits. The top 3,377 are the richest addresses, not a random sample of all 242,538 holder addresses; the same address on both chains is not proof of the same person; zero-balance results were verified as true zeros, not API errors.
